Villa Vanna is owned by a Swedish family who fell in love with Sri Lanka—its people, nature, wildlife, beaches, and the entire atmosphere.

We, Jimmy, Lisa, Noel, and Oskar, first visited in 2017 on a three-week holiday. As we traveled, we kept noticing small signs saying "land for sale." It didn’t take long for the dream of a different life to take root. After several return visits and exploring over 60 locations, we finally found the one—a stunning piece of jungle with towering palm trees and playful monkeys, nestled in a small, welcoming village in Sri Lanka’s beautiful south. In April 2019, we signed the papers, marking the beginning of a new adventure.

With our experience as a traveling family, our goal was to create a place where guests could truly unwind after exploring the vibrant south. Whether you've spent the day on the beach or adventuring through the region, we want Villa Vanna to be a haven of relaxation and serenity for both adults and kids. Designed to be welcoming, family-friendly, and a touch luxurious, it offers the comfort of home with the experience of a boutique hotel.

In January 2023, Villa Vanna finally opened its doors. It is the holiday home of our dreams, and we are delighted to share it with guests from around the world.
